Who doesn't love to curl up with a good book and a glass of wine? The following list includes 3 pairings of wines and novels I think would be a perfect sip to story ratio... Enjoy!
A red
What I’m drinking: Cabernet Sauvignon- Intrinsic
What I’m reading: The Giver of Stars, by Jojo Moyes
Why this pairing?
The Giver of Stars celebrates the power of women in rural, early 20th century Kentucky. Watch as Alice, the foreigner from England, finds her place in society and escapes her abusive marriage. This story celebrates the friendship, resilience and self-discovery of five unique women who are bound together by the power of books. The book explores themes of pleasure- both physical and mental- and the fight women battled to obtain it. Intrinsic is the ultimate feminine wine. From the bottle design to the smooth taste, this wine will pair perfectly with any feminist novel!

What I'm drinking: Sauvignon Blanc- Oyster Bay
What I'm reading: I'll Give You the Sun, by Jandy Nelson
Why this pairing?
I'll Give You the Sun is the ultimate Summer read. It is the captivating coming of age story of twins, Jude and Noah. There are many coastal scenes in the novel in which Jude crafts beautiful sand sculptures. I won't continue to explain the sculptures, as it would do no justice to the brilliant writing of Jandy Nelson. The book explores themes of betrayal, loss, sexuality and introspection. Much like IGYTS, Oyster Bay is the ultimate Summer wine. Its flavors are cool and crisp and will help you get through some of the heavier topics in the novel.

What I'm drinking: Rosé- Apothic
What I'm reading: The Song of Achilles, by Madeline Miller
Why this pairing?
The Song of Achilles is Homer reimagined. This is the coming of age story of the hero Achilles and his best friend, Patroclus. I picture Apothic as the wine the boys drink during their time away from home, going through hero training. They eat exotic fruits, swim in the rivers and spend nights in a cave encrusted in jewels- it only makes sense for this jewel-toned rosé to be their drink of choice! This novel explores themes of love, sexuality, sacrifice and inner conflict.
